Neverest Foundation charity lunch and cricket match 1st July 2018

Neverest Foundation hosted a successful and enjoyable charity luncheon and cricket match at Repton School, Derbyshire on 1st July 2018.

There were 265 guests who were entertained by the Uttoxeter Brass Band during the drinks reception. A superb luncheon was provided by the award winning chef Lee Parry. The Soulmates band provided entertainment during luncheon. This was followed by a cricket match consisting of a team from the invited guests versus The Normanton team. A 15-15 overs game was very entertaining which went to the wire. The Normanton team won by a single run! Whilst the cricket match was going on, others were treated to a 1.5 hour Salsa dance lesson within the marquee.
During high tea after the cricket match, celebrity auctioneer Charles Hanson auctioned off amazing prizes including several holidays in France and Portugal, and a signed Manchester United shirt by Sir Bobby Charlton which was given away by Sir Bobby Charlton.

All funds raised from the charity luncheon shall go this year towards the construction of a residential special needs school in Kathmandu.

Many thanks must go to Repton School and its Headmaster Mr Alastair Land and the Chairman of the board of Governors Sir Henry Every for allowing Neverest the use of its facilities. Neverest Foundation wishes to thank the staff of Repton School especially the ground staff. Ex Mayor of Derby Counsellor Paul Pegg, Mrs Julie Needham, Mrs Justina Bramall and Mrs Kate Ananda- Rajan deserve special mention and thanks for organising a very successful event.
